Inverted vertical single cylinder (open crank) engine by Tangye of Birmingham. This design won a gold medal in 1878 and is a smaller example of the ‘Archer’ design but without the front turned stay. It was used in a milk processing plant at Earlswood near Solihull and had been stored by a private collector. It was collected along with a small weir pump. It is No. 876 of c1890.
