Now just south of the West Yorkshire/South Yorkshire boundary, this area was until the 1970s the West Riding. This is one of 615 milestone set up for the West Riding County Council in 1893/94. The drystone wall was built around the backing stone. On such a narrow verge it is difficult to repaint when needed. Grade II listed - 1314730 Milestone Society ID - YS_BNHF06
