Meaux Road crosses the Holderness Drain at Meaux Bridge (shown), and then runs past Bridge Cottage. Just before Bridge Cottage is a right junction, and that road meanders east to Skirlaugh. North of Bridge Cottage, Meaux Road becomes Meaux Lane. The land immediately west of Meaux lane is the site of the Cistercian Meaux Abbey, founded 1191.
