The building was manufactured by Lysaght's of Bristol, and supplied and erected by Henry Kelland and Company. See Image] for a contextual view. The former were an engineering firm founded in Bristol; John Lysaght (1832–1895) was born in Mallow, County Cork, Ireland, who moved to Bristol and became involved with a small hardware galvanising business. He then started his own metal working company which quickly rose to produce lots of sheeting and iron construction materials. Many products were exported to Australia and founded a company over there. The firm was hit during WWI when their supplies of zinc were halted at the outbreak of war, but recovered and expanded after it. The firm was bought out by Guest Keen and Nettlefolds (GKN) in 1920. Henry Kelland are a construction firm that operated from Cannington (not so far from this site) and Bridgwater. They often worked on railway and agricultural sites.
