Opened in 1917 by the South Eastern Railway on the line from London to Dartford via Abbey Wood, this short-lived railway halt served the nearby Woolwich Arsenal during the First World War, and closed in 1920. View west towards Plumstead and central London. For many years, the original two tracks under the camera position (the two tracks to the right are 2022 additions for the Elizabeth Line) were crossed by a level crossing, from between the houses on the left. It is not certain whether the platforms were this side or the far side of where the level crossing was (confirmation required).
