Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of Sutton (Macclesfield District), London Road; on the side of the road. Macclesfield wedge, erected by the Macclesfield & Buxton turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : To / London / 169 miles : : To / Macclesfield / 1 miles : Milestone Society National ID: CH_BXMFA11
