The very useful flyover was built in or before the 60s and was supposed to be temporary, and has now survived well over 60 years with the only change being a recent 20mph speed limit. Unlike Hammersmith Bridge the other side of London which was designed to last and has gradually given up the ghost since the 90s and will probably never be reopened.
