When I reached Slains Park there was a wire across the road, decorated with yellow bucket lids. I detached it, drove through and reattached it. Rounding the bend I saw the cattle coming towards me, so I pulled off the road and waited for them to pass. They were being encouraged on their way by two tractors, one pulling a large bogie, which between them were able to cover the full width of the road if any cow decided not to keep going in the right direction.
