Terraced houses on the North side of Croft Street (on the right of the picture) and each side of the parallel Albion Street were demolished. The land was cleared and the Croft Millennium Green was formed. The crane in the background is clearing land on Henry Street and Onward Street, formerly the site of Hyde Police Station.
