Opened in 1849 by the London & South Western Railway as the terminus of the line from Guildford, this station closed to passengers in 1897 when it was replaced by Farncombe station on the main line to Portsmouth. It remained as a goods station until 1969. After closure it was demolished. View north from Chalk Road. A builders' merchants now occupies the site. The main building was just beyond the shed with the white gable end.
