Construction work at Ravensthorpe

The existing Ravensthorpe station is situated to the east of the junction between the lines from Huddersfield to Wakefield and Leeds, with platforms only on the Leeds lines. As part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), the station will be replaced with a new station to the west of the junction, with the Leeds lines being realigned further south and with a grade separated junction being installed. On the right of the image are the Wakefield lines with the platforms/Leeds lines on the left.
