A City of Nottingham Transport Atlantean bus on Fastline service 501 passes Cinderhill Colliery (still operational) on the way to Snape wood Estate. CNT had introduced Fastline services a couple of years previously as limited stop commuter services from outer estates into the city centre as a (potentially) attractive alternative to car commuting.
