Tradescant memorial, South Lambeth

The memorial, opposite the end of Tradescant Road,commemorates the family of the same name, "plant collectors and Gardeners to Charles I whose house and gardens were near this site in the 17th century." The sculptor was Hilary Cartmel and it was unveiled by David Bellamy. The historical link is maintained in the nearby Tradescant Museum Image
