The result of a pedestrianisation scheme which forced all buses to Chester city centre down the same street. The Blue Bell Inn (white, near centre) is reputed to be Chester's oldest vernacular building (in 2008 it is now the East Glory Oriental Restaurant). The Odeon cinema and Town Hall can be seen in the distance.
