Stairs to the platforms

These stairs lead down from the street level concourse and ticket barriers to the platforms at the disused King’s Cross Thameslink Station (see also Image). Trains ceased to call here with effect from the 9th December 2007 (the last train was on the 7th December 2007) but the station remained open as an additional pedestrian access to King’s Cross St. Pancras underground station until the 23rd March 2020 via a foot tunnel. Advertising remains in place since the closure of the station, now boarded up and without public access.
