Some steps, some paths and a tree in the middle are all that remains of what was once a sunken garden. "Mostyn Gardens is a park covering 4 hectares in the Merton Park ward. The land was once part of Merton Common, and was later the site of a brickworks before being laid out as a park in the 1930s." - Borough of Merton.
