The M90 Motorway where it bypasses Glenfarg village. Until 5/1/70 this was the course of the ex-North British Railway main line from Edinburgh (and Glasgow) to Perth, which was closed between Mawcarse and Bridge of Earn and the Motorway built over it. Glenfarg station was right here, closed 15/6/64 (goods 21/6/65). Trains from Edinburgh to Perth now run instead via Ladybank - a long way round.
