View from inside the maze which was planted in 1990, using copper beech (Fagus sylvatica purpurea), hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) and escallonia. Its layout is based on the floor plan of the adjoining old priory and it is Norfolk's only traditional hedge maze. Priory Gardens are situated on the grounds of the former St Mary's priory, the ruins of which can be seen from across the gardens. Opened in 1997 and presently featuring a number of gardens such as an aromatic garden, a romantic garden, Norfolk, Riviera and Tea gardens as well as a variety of walks; there are also a beech hedge maze, a plant centre, a tea room and a gift shop.
