The church of St Andrew has a figure bearing his traditional 'saltire' cross, alongside a tomb. The church is closely connected with local dignitary Sir Thomas Cheddar (de Cheddre). He was born in nearby East Harptree in 1398 and made his fortune as a merchant in Bristol. The tomb is dated 1443 and Sir Thomas is buried in the churchyard.
