Penryn railway station consists of a long platform divided in two, with platform 1 for trains towards Falmouth and platform 2 towards Truro. A passing loop enables the down train to pass the up train before crossing from the loop into platform 1. The 1515 Falmouth Docks to Truro (2T82) formed of 150263 waits in platform 2 for the passing train.
