The northern end of the Promenade in Cheltenham in 1976. The building in the background with the Ionic columns and pediment is still occupied by Boots 48 years later. The shops on this part of the Promenade are were built in the 1790s predating the rest of the Promenade by some twenty years, originally this was known as the Colonnade.
