Opened in 1888, Edenbridge Town is on what is now the long branch line from Hurst Green to Uckfield and has an hourly service from London Bridge to Uckfield. Until the 1960s it was possible to travel south from here to such places as Tunbridge Wells, Brighton and Eastbourne as well as to Uckfield. To confuse travellers unfamiliar with the town, its other station is simply called Edenbridge.
