The Compton phone box at the corner of Spiceall and The Street - in summer 2024 it was decorated to celebrate the Olympic Games in Paris. The box was decorated with medals and Union Jacks and placed beside it was a model (ca 15 feet high) of the Eiffel Tower and of the hot-air balloon carrying the flaming Olympic cauldron. Here the numbers of gold, silver and bronze medals won by Team GB have been added.
