A rather ungainly looking building it its present form. Built in 1819, originally of two stories, it was much rebuilt in the 1950s having suffered damage during World War 2, but still gained Listed Grade II status in 1980. A planning application to create an apartment block on the site incorporating the existing structure, with a smaller chapel space, was refused in 2024.
