Looking towards Hatfield the cut benchmark on the left side of the stone is very clear. The concrete between the path and the road is where the bus-stop used to be. This has been moved, visible just beyond the second black lamp post, to serve the new estate of houses opposite. When the WRCC milestones were set up the stones were not painted although the metal was blue with white letters. It is not known when black letters on white was adopted for the 615 stones all over the West Riding. Grade II listed1314806.
