Built 1894 https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7873628 as a secondary school "... to help supply a body of qualified students for the proposed municipal technical college. . .”. It looks almost more like a place of incarceration than a school from this angle. It now forms part of the Diocesan administrative centre.
