Buildings on Market Place. Those on the right are part of Belmont Terrace, shown on the 1879 1:500 plan, the majority of which is alongside Terrace Road. Beyond is Buxton Town Hall, designed by William Pollard and built 1887-9. The 1879 1:500 plan shows a Market Hall on the site - this burnt down in 1885.
