Residents of Avon Street follow an informal convention to treat it as one-way south and to park half on the pavements to leave room for other vehicles to pass up or down the street. It works for most cars but on this day the bin lorry is almost at a standstill with barely inches of clearance. Delivery vans guided by satnav have been known to get stuck. Photo number 7866931.
