The village and its crossroads are a bit of an accident blackspot, having a problem with fast traffic on the A5 road. So enterprising locals installed their very own dummy traffic officer about 30 years ago, and he's still here all these years later on the verge, helping to reduce the dafties tearing through the village at 70mph.
