Heart of Wales railway

The A483 and this section of the Heart of Wales railway line parallel each other along the flat and marshy plain of the Afon Cledan as they approach Llanwrtyd Wells. The railway runs for 121 miles from Swansea to Shrewsbury but strictly speaking only the section between Llanelli and Craven Arms is the 'real' Heart of Wales line.
