The sanctuary and altar. The panelling, of 1905 and the reredos of 1917 are memorials to the first Earl and Countess of Selborne. The figures in the carved reredos are, from left to right, St John the Apostle, The Blessed Virgin Mary, The Victory of the Cross, St Mary of Magdala (the first witness of the Resurrection) and St Matthew the Apostle.
