Looking along Station Road towards Norwood Junction Station. In the centre of the photo is the pedestrian subway leading to Clifford Road and Carmichael Road, a blue plaque on which (see Image) states "Conceived by Borough Engineer George Carter and constructed by Robert McAlpine and Sons Norwood Junction Subway The world's first reinforced concrete underpass Opened 31 July 1912."
