This is a large pub, separated into two main rooms by a central bar (one a drinking area, the other for dining) and decorated to a high standard. It is a little eccentric but none the worse for that. It was opened after a major refurbishment by the Good Host Group in 2019 and has facilities for conferences and events. The building dates from Edwardian times and was originally a village hall but served as a military hospital during World War I.
