The viewpoint, a Cross-City train, is east of the ring road, Lawley Middleway; a white car can be seen on the northbound carriageway in the space between concrete supports. HS2, having bridged the existing rail lines, must approach Curzon Street station on bridges over big features: the ring road and a canal. We shall see what these supports hold up. Rust-coloured in the background is a colossal piece of steel being fabricated; it has to be part of a bridge. Photo number 7846281.
