The Buttermarket was built around 1835 as a warehouse, to designs by Fallows & Hart of Birmingham: see the listing at the Historic England site https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1254526?section=official-list-entry . The building has been converted into a nightclub. It is seen here from platform 7 of the station, through a gap in the wall that shielded passengers from viewing the siding and platform that were once used by Shrewsbury Prison for the transport of prisoners.
