Metal plate attached to stone post by the A64, in parish of Rillington (Ryedale District), Rillington, on the verge, on North side of road. Old Rydale iron plate, erected by the York to Scarborough turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- SCARBORO 18 MALTON 4 Carved benchmark on lower face. Milestone Society National ID: YN_MASC04
