Duckweed blanket

The Netherton Tunnel Branch Canal just north of the aqueduct carrying the Wolverhampton level of the Birmingham Canal. A conjunction of wind and current has built up a thick blanket of duckweed, which tends to hide other, more malign objects such as tree-parts and floating planks (as we found when the boat called to pick me up).
