The plaque reads A Barbary coast of Lascars, Chinese, Norwegians, Dutch, Polish Russians, West Africans, Maltese and so many more sailing into Salfords dock shore" This plaque records the multiplicity of nationalities which embarked at Salford. Some of them stayed and added to the richness of Salford's and Manchester's heritage.
