The driveway off Ferry Road leads to the Sinah Warren Hotel, part of the Warner Leisure chain whose establishments are open to adults only. The heart of the hotel complex is the 1930s Sinah residence built by Andrew Arbuthnot who ran a vast battery hen farm (at the time an innovative concept) here. After the Second World War the site was developed as a holiday camp which opened in 1958 and was purchased by Warners (at that time a locally-based family firm). It has since evolved into the holiday hotel complex we see today.
