View eastwards along Union Street from Union Terrace. The Trinity Centre shops carry an arrange of banners while a new road sign (here defaced) has been erected on Union Street - the impecunious city council continues to take money from errant motorists, establishing "bus gates" and a new Low Emission Zone (LEZ). Note the near empty pavement and roadway as trade in the city centre here has slumped. But there are green shoots of recovery - raised flower beds. www.aberdeencity.gov.uk
