Looking towards Star Fen Cottage and Star Fen Farm. Many of the roads and farm tracks across the fens are called "Drove." A drove is "a herd or flock of animals moving together" (according to my dictionary) and these roads were the traditional routes for driving livestock from one place to another. Usually dead straight in this part of the country, this one disproves the rule!
