Here is the grade II listed church of St. John the Baptist in Doddington, built on the southeast slopes of Titterstone Clee Hill to the design of Thomas Botfield from Hopton Court, Hopton Wafers, in 1847 (he based his design on the parish church in that settlement). A familiar sight to drivers on the A4117 road, this "Beacon on the Hill" undertook renovation work lately, which saw the notable addition of the zig-zag path in the east corner of the churchyard, making the site accessible for wheelchair users; this was made possible by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
