On Cross Arcade in the Victoria Quarter of Leeds city centre. My wife browses, tries on and shops in Sweaty Betty, her fave running and activewear brand; hard-wearing, long-lasting, stylish, well-designed and enjoyable to wear. Wearing it motivates her to run faster, further and more competitively. She even pays for it herself. Thankfully. I meanwhile wander the arcade and admire the architecture. I have my own fave running and activewear brands. But deep down I most admire those runners who wear rubbish t-shirts, ill-fitting shorts, aged trainers and ill-matched socks and still manage to enjoy their training, running and events the most, often with the best times. However, horses for courses, different strokes for different folks etc etc.
