'Shad' was built in 1939 by Yarwoods of Northwich for Fellows Morton & Clayton Ltd. By 1970 she was in the fleet of the Anderton Canal Carrying Company, see: https://hnbc.org.uk/boats/shad. She is seen here moored in Barnton basin near the eastern portal of Barnton tunnel.
