The Institute of Technology, Castle Street, Stafford is being built on the site of the former Stafford railway steam engine shed. In recent years the site has been occupied by various businesses. The engine shed was occupied by various training departments of Newcastle and Stafford College Group (NSCG). The whole site was cleared in 2023 to make way for the Institute.
