Abertillery War Memorial

Located here https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7759936 between Somerset Street and Queen Street. The Memorial was unveiled by Field Marshal Allenby (1st Viscount Allenby) in 1926. It is dedicated to "the memory of the MEN of ABERTILLERY who made the supreme sacrifice in THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918." The plaque on the base on the memorial was added in 1954 "in memory of the residents of Abertillery Urban District who fell in the Second Great War 1939 - 45".
