Opened in 1883 by the Taff Vale Railway on its line from Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil via Pontypridd. View north towards Troed-y-Rhiw and Merthyr, a few months after the line had been electrified. From 1970 to 2008, only the left-hand platform was in use as the line had been singled. See Image for an earlier view from a similar camera position.
