Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of STITHIANS (KERRIER District), Pelean Cross, on bend, against hedge, unpainted, on South side of road. Truro stone, erected by the Truro turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription once read:- (FROM) (TRURO) (7) (MILES) Carved bench mark and rivet on top. [Inscription painted on in 2009, but weathered off since. Original inscription chiselled off] Grade II listed.
