This field of the ubiquitous crop is near enough in full flower. Most of the other fields of rape I've seen so far this year aren't quite so advanced. Possibly it's to do with when the crop was sown or perhaps the fact that this particular field has a south-facing aspect has something to do with it. That slope accounts for the horizon being the way it is in this image taken facing north-west.
