I spotted this brickwork last week, and went down that road again today, specially to take the photo. As far as I know, the bond of bricks assembled to this pattern, is called, Flemish, Dutch, or 'rat trap' bond, and when the bricks are laid on their sides, they are said to be laid in a 'Chinese' manner. This is a wall of a farmhouse in Sandon Road, near to Hilderstone, Staffordshire.
